Denise's Dance Academy was established in 1993 in Overland Park, KS. It is owned and operated under the direction of Denise Hawkins, a lifelong resident of Johnson County.

We offer a variety of dance styles that include:

• Leaps, Turns and Conditioning
• Lyrical

At DDA, we offer a well-rounded program that has both a competitive program and a recreational program for all ages and abilities. We are also proud of our reputation for age appropriate music, costuming, and choreography in all classes and performances.

Our adult teachers and staff lead classes filled with energy, learning, and fun! Many of our teachers are certified elementary/middle school teachers as well. You can read about them all on our Staff Page. 

Our dancers have been featured in many venues around the country, most recently on the stage at Walt Disney World! We have also performed in Branson, Dallas, Florida, Minneapolis, and many venues around Kansas City. Our teams have also been honored to be the featured performers at Relay for Life (cancer benefit) held in Olathe and Overland Park.  Our dancers have gone on to many types of dance and performance careers!
